Temps who behave inappropriately or fail to meet expectations are often reported to the agency by the client. Work schedule depends on nature of assignment. Since jobs are temporary, there are no incentives for benefits. High flexibility of labor often leads to low wages.

The duration of each assignment varies. If a temp is not comfortable with a job, they are free to reject it. However, they may run the risk of going for long without works. This is because agencies do not create jobs but only assign them. Having a reputation of refusing jobs is not good in this industry.

Temps are given instructions on what they need to accomplish, wages, work hours, and work attire among other aspects. Each temp is assigned to an agency representative. A temp is supposed to call their representative if there are discrepancies in job description or other aspects of the contract.
